\u201cIn July 2006\u00a0we started\u00a0doing\u00a0a\u00a0bible study\u00a0in our home.\u00a0 Many people came because they know me as\u00a0a singer, and many accepted Christ in our house.\u00a0After they accept\u00a0Christ\u00a0they become hungry for\u00a0His word so we have more bible study.\u00a0\u00a0That is how\u00a0the\u00a0ministry started.\u00a0\u00a0We would invite friends and people we met to our home\u00a0to watch\u00a0Christian movies, and then talk about\u00a0the movie and\u00a0get to know each other.\u00a0\u00a0Our little group grew\u00a0to\u00a0over 100\u00a0regular members and eventually\u00a0we\u00a0used\u00a0the\u00a0whole house for\u00a0church.\u00a0 Now in 2018 we have more than 295 members.\u00a0 We have church in the mountains for 26 members.\u00a0\u00a0Mabale\u00a0has\u00a0376 members\u00a0and\u00a0Cornea 200 members.\u00a0\u00a0We started a school for our\u00a0friend\u2019s children and orphans started arriving.\u00a0 Haiti is a very poor country and our members have very little money to give, but they could give their time to help with the school and orphanage.\u00a0 Soon we had\u00a0almost 100 children in the orphanage and over 200 in school.\u00a0 We were constantly struggling to feed the\u00a0children.\u00a0 For the school children, the lunch we provide is often the only meal they will have for the day.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\u201cThe Lord works in mysterious ways.\u00a0\u00a0In 2010\u00a0a terrible\u00a0earthquake\u00a0struck\u00a0Haiti\u00a0and practically destroyed\u00a0our building.\u00a0 In\u00a0the\u00a0aftermath, my wife\u00a0Gerta\u00a0became terribly ill\u00a0and I\u00a0no dry place\u00a0had to take care of\u00a0her\u00a0or my 4 children.\u00a0 So,\u00a0we put ourselves in God\u2019s hands and got on a plane.\u00a0 We\u00a0arrived penniless\u00a0in the US and I contacted\u00a0missionaries I knew\u00a0who\u00a0reached out to others to help us.\u00a0 The Riggin family accepted us and welcomed my family\u00a0of\u00a06\u00a0into their home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u201cThe Lord worked through Dr. Mary Riggin to heal\u00a0Gerta,\u00a0and for\u00a0the next year\u00a0and\u00a0a half\u00a0Jerry and Mary housed and cared for my family.\u00a0 Though I longed to just stay with my family in the comfortable US, I could not leave all those children in Haiti.\u00a0\u00a0I traveled back and forth to Haiti\u00a0to start putting pieces back together.\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
