Feed Hope is Zamar Ministries' school feeding program in Haiti. Children receive a hot meal at school, cooked by local cooks, so they can come to class, stay in class and learn.
The need
Why a School Meal Matters
Hunger in Haiti has reached crisis levels. Food prices are high, and insecurity has cut many families off from markets and work.
A child who arrives at school hungry cannot focus, and many stop coming at all. A daily meal at school gives families one more reason to keep their children in class.

How it works
From Your Gift to a Child's Plate
Feed Hope is run by Haitians who know these communities. Pastor Guerry Lefranc leads the work in Haiti.
Food is bought in Haiti
Buying locally supports Haitian farmers and markets and gets food to the schools faster.
Local cooks prepare it
At each school, cooks from the community prepare a hot meal for the children.
Children eat and learn
Meals are served five days a week during the school year, so children can stay in class.
